Description
Jaguar Lightweight Two-Piece Performance Brake Rotors
Alpha Jag lightweight performance brake rotors are engineered for high-performance Jaguar applications using the 380mm front / 376mm rear steel brake package.
These are not simply cosmetic drilled or slotted replacement discs. The two-piece design is developed around meaningful weight reduction, effective heat management, quality materials and racing-oriented construction for demanding street and track use.
Reduce Weight Where It Matters Most
Brake rotors contribute both unsprung mass and rotating mass. Reducing rotor weight can help the suspension react more quickly while also reducing rotational inertia at each wheel.
Our front rotor design targets approximately 13.5 kg per rotor, providing substantial weight reduction compared with a conventional heavy one-piece performance rotor while maintaining the friction-ring mass required for serious braking use.
Potential benefits of reducing rotor mass include:
- Improved suspension response
- Sharper steering feel
- Reduced rotational inertia
- More responsive acceleration and braking
- Improved overall vehicle dynamics
Two-Piece Performance Construction
The rotor assembly separates the lightweight center hat from the iron friction ring. This allows weight to be removed from the center of the rotor without sacrificing the iron braking surface and thermal capacity needed under repeated high-energy braking.
The result is a purpose-built performance rotor with a premium two-piece appearance and construction suited to powerful Jaguar street cars, spirited driving and track use.
Performance Cooling & Manufacturing Quality
Alpha Jag rotors use performance-oriented internally ventilated friction rings designed to move heat away from the braking surfaces during repeated braking.
We place strong emphasis on manufacturing quality, rotor stability, consistency and proper high-speed operation. The rotors are produced to demanding performance standards without publishing unnecessary proprietary manufacturing tolerances.
Semi-Floating – $1,250 Per Pair
The semi-floating configuration combines the weight advantages of a two-piece rotor with a more street-oriented mounting arrangement.
This is an excellent choice for:
- High-performance street cars
- Daily-driven modified Jaguars
- Spirited canyon and mountain driving
- Occasional track use
- Owners focused on reducing rotating and unsprung weight
Full-Floating – $1,400 Per Pair
The full-floating configuration allows greater independent thermal movement between the iron friction ring and lightweight center hat as brake temperatures rise.
This motorsport-oriented configuration is best suited to:
- Frequent track use
- Repeated high-speed braking
- High-horsepower builds
- Aggressive canyon or mountain driving
- Drivers wanting the most performance-focused rotor configuration
Because movement is intentionally built into a full-floating assembly, some additional mechanical sound can be normal compared with a semi-floating street-oriented rotor.
Front & Rear Options
Select the axle required when ordering:
- Front Pair – 380mm
- Rear Pair – 376mm
Jaguar Applications
The 380mm front / 376mm rear performance brake package was used on multiple high-performance Jaguar models and packages, including certain F-TYPE, XK/XKR, XJR and XFR-S applications.
Fitment varies by model year, trim and factory brake package. Rotor diameter alone does not confirm complete interchangeability. Please verify that your vehicle uses the compatible 380mm front / 376mm rear steel brake system before ordering, or contact Alpha Jag with your VIN, year, model and brake package.
Built for Performance Jaguars
Alpha Jag lightweight rotors are an ideal complement to a performance build where power, handling and braking are being improved together. Reducing unnecessary mass at the wheels helps make the entire vehicle feel more responsive while maintaining a braking system designed for serious performance use.
