Jaguar 5.0 supercharger porting is one of the most effective airflow upgrades for modified AJ133 5.0L Supercharged performance builds that continue to use the factory TVS1900 supercharger. The factory blower is capable of supporting substantial power, but as supercharger speed and airflow demand increase, restriction through the inlet and housing becomes increasingly important.

Improved Airflow, Efficiency and Temperature Control

As the supercharger is driven harder with an upper pulley, lower crank pulley or a combination of both, airflow restriction and heat become increasingly important. Improving the airflow path can help the TVS1900 move the required air with less unnecessary restriction.

This improved efficiency can help reduce heat generation and may help lower charge-air temperatures compared with a more restrictive configuration under similar operating conditions. Lower charge temperatures can also help improve consistency during repeated acceleration and sustained high-load operation, where rising intake temperatures may otherwise cause the ECU to reduce ignition timing.

Actual temperature and power results vary with pulley ratio, ECU calibration, fuel quality, ambient temperature, intercooler performance and the rest of the vehicle setup. For that reason, Alpha Jag Tuning does not advertise a fixed horsepower or temperature reduction from porting alone.

How the Supercharger Porting Service Works

1. Place your order through Alpha Jag Tuning.
2. We provide the shipping instructions for the designated porting facility.
3. Remove the supercharger from the vehicle and remove sensors and gaskets before shipment.
4. Package the supercharger securely with protective padding on all sides. Do not use packing peanuts.
5. Include your Alpha Jag order number and contact information inside the box.
6. UPS, FedEx or DHL are recommended for inbound shipping.
7. After CNC porting is complete, the supercharger is prepared for return shipment.

Customer is responsible for shipping the supercharger to the porting facility. Return shipping is billed separately.

Typical Turnaround

KONG Performance currently states a typical porting turnaround of approximately 3–7 business days after the supercharger is received. Shipping time and current workload are additional, so total turnaround can vary.
